MGR represents Emma Thompson, who wrote the following piece about the MGR team:

"Having been with Martin Greene Ravden since my infancy, I can honestly say they reach the parts no other accounting firm would even dare to finger.
They can also do joined-up writing and are very clean. I have tried hard to pay them as little as possible and they have been very good about it. They also agreed to take on my mother, which is saying a lot.
Highly recommended. (MGR, not my mother, although she is, obviously, fully trained as a massage therapist)."

MGR represents John Cleese, who wrote the following piece about chartered accountants:

Counsellor: Now Mr Anchovy, you asked us to advise you which job in life you were best suited for.
Anchovy: That is correct, yes.
Counsellor: Well I now have the results here of the interviews and the aptitude tests that you took last week, and from them we've built up a pretty clear picture of the sort of person that you are. And I think I can say, without fear of contradiction, that the ideal job for you is chartered accountancy.
Anchovy: But I am a chartered accountant.
Counsellor: Jolly good. Well back to the office with you then.
Anchovy: No! No! No! You don't understand, I've been a chartered accountant for the last twenty years. I want a new job. Something exciting that will let me live.
Councellor: Well chartered accountancy is rather exciting isn't it?
Anchovy: Exciting? No it's not. It's dull. Dull! Dull! My God it's dull. It's so desperately dull and tedious and stuffy and boring and des-per-ate-ly DULL.
Councellor: Well, er, yes Mr Anchovy, but you see your report here says that you are an extremely dull person. You see, our experts describe you as an appallingly dull fellow, unimaginative, timid, lacking in initiative, spineless, easily dominated, no sense of humour, tedious company and irrepressibly drab and awful. And whereas in most professions these would be considerable drawbacks, in chartered accountancy they are a positive boon.
Mr Cleese comments: "If you absolutely have to be in a room with chartered accountants, you may find that the ones at MGR are fractionally less dull than the industry norm (actually two of them are quite nice)."

MGR represents Michael Winner, who wrote the following piece about the MGR team:

“There is absolutely no doubt that Martin Greene Ravden have one of the most depressing offices I’ve ever seen in my life. Furthermore it is in St John’s Wood, an area that I find totally tedious. It is probably unreasonable to hold either of these facts against them. I have found them extremely thorough and even, at times, very clever in relation to matters concerning taxation. One of the three, I can’t remember which, dresses rather well and once waved to me in the South of France. What more could you wish from an accountant?”
Michael Winner
MGR represents Stephen Fry, who wrote the following piece about the MGR team:

"I heartily endorse John Cleese's wild exaggeration as to the relative pleasantness of MGR's staff. True, you wouldn't want to watch one of them eat, but they can add up take away and do long division and everything. I've been with them for more years than there are scratch-cards in Romford and I wouldn't change for anything. Good kind people with attractive hairstyles and a way of explaining things to innumerates like me that has saved me midnight raids and embarrassing stays at Ford Open Prison. Bless them all."
Stephen Fry
MGR represents Paul Rose, who wrote the following piece about the MGR team:

"MGR and Templar are flippin' great!"
Paul Rose
Dave Clarke wrote the following piece about the MGR Team:

"I have been with MGR for a very long time and whilst their office might have sick building syndrome and their "coffee" should be confiscated as a blatant misrepresentation under The Trade Descriptions Act the staff are very diligent, friendly and rather strangely for accountants, likeable. I have enjoyed working with Paul Simnock and his team and would heartily recommend them to anyone I cared about."
Dave Clarke
Global Merchandising Services wrote the following piece about the MGR Team:

"My relationship with MGR goes back over 30 years and my experience has been nothing short of life saving on numerous occasions. The help, advice and diligence they have shown me and my businesses is exemplary. Their understanding which stems from a attitude of can do and will do has helped me build one of the strongest businesses in the world of entertainment merchandise around the globe. They conduct themselves as if in partnership and have been true friends when the chips are down. When it comes to dress sense well that is another matter. But every tree needs a cockatoo. It’s more fun than dealing with a bag of snakes."
Barry Drinkwater - Global Merchandising Services
Ace Records wrote the following piece about the MGR Team:

"MGR have been auditors and tax accountants for Ace Records over a number of years. Their in depth knowledge of the music business has made the process of dealing with them more pleasure than pain, not something that can be said about many other firms. Their services cover a wide range of financial expertise of which Ace has availed itself on a number of occasions. If you are seeking financial services related to the entertainment industry or otherwise, I would have no hesitation in recommending MGR."
Damon Vallero - ACE Records
Rebekah Staton wrote the following piece about the MGR Team:

"Alan and Robert have shown an unwavering belief in me from the moment we met; I was 21 with one series (State of Play) and one film (Bright Young Things) 'in the can', they didn't have much to go on. And because of this grace, I am certain that one of the reasons I have gone on to do well, is because I have been encouraged by them on a yearly basis. When I go to see Alan and Robert I often forget that they are Accountants. They are charming and kind and have personalities. They are patient and understanding with lesser mathematical mortals such as myself. And they give you pens and sweets. I do the Acting, Alan does the numbers. That’s the way I like it. We tried it the other way round once, but it didn't work as well. In short I have slept very well since 2002, thanks to Robert and Alan at MGR."
Rebekah Staton
Mr Hudson wrote the following piece about the MGR Team:

"Having the numerical age of an 8 year old, I could not function without the support of MGR."
Mr Hudson
Paramount Properties wrote the following piece about the MGR Team:

"I just wanted to say thank you for the support you have given our company over the years. The professionalism and commitment has been much appreciated."
Rosh Pathman - Paramount Properties
The Radio Academy wrote the following piece about the MGR Team:

"MGR has provided audit and accountancy services to the Radio Academy for three years now and we have always found them to be thoroughly professional and a pleasure to work with. We have also transferred our payroll processing to them, which used to be done in-house, but is now much easier and headache free.
MGR's friendly and knowledgeable team take a lot of the pain out of the more tedious aspects of an audit and always work quickly and efficiently, fitting in with our diary to ensure our draft accounts are ready well in advance of our AGM.
They have also been very helpful with any little questions we have regarding general accounts issues and are happy to help whenever they can. Their understanding of the specific nature of our business and our industry has been invaluable.
Our relationship with MGR has been a great success and we look forward to it continuing for many years to come."
Nella Hodgkinson - The Radio Academy
Lisa Gorman wrote the following piece about the MGR Team:
"I have worked with Nigel Walfisz and MGR for many years and although he wears a suit I have found him to be mostly human. Furthermore he has been supportive, available, patient and understanding when most other accountants would either have a) killed me or b) killed themselves. I'm a fan."
Lisa Gorman
Water Music Productions Limited wrote the following piece about the MGR Team:
"We first hooked up with MGR in 1987 when I was a young roister doister. In the ensuing Twenty One years they have followed and guided us through the Daedalian twists and turns of our various business projects. The minimum requirement of an accountant is, of course, competence. MGR go way beyond that: they have made us money."
Peter Lawlor, Water Music Productions Limited
Handle Recruitment Limited wrote the following piece about the MGR Team:
"At Handle, there isn't enough praise we can give to Nigel and the team at MGR. The financial advice they have given us has enabled us to expand and grow whilst always keeping our finances in check. We are particularly fond of Alan Leslie for his always honest, friendly advice when dealing with our financial planning. The wide array of service offered by MGR never ceases to amaze us, with them you truly are in safe hands."
Stella Walker, Handle Recruitment Limited
Home From Home Care wrote the following piece about the MGR Team:
"When the firm became my accountants, MGR was a 2 man band. Now it’s grown to become “Accountants to the Stars” but, as well as taking care of its media clients, MGR looks after businesses like mine, Home from Home Care Limited, which provides needs led service to young people and adults with a learning disability and complex behavioural support needs.
MGR cares about my business. They are great professionals who over the years have become friends – and no, they didn’t pay me to say this!"
Paul de Savary, Home From Home Care
